Habits and to-dos for iPhone and AndroidIn development

Habits and today’s tasks, on one calm screen.

Evenpaced is a habit tracker and to-do list for iPhone and Android. Missing a day lowers a habit’s momentum a little, so the progress you built stays.

How momentum works

A 267-day streak and one missed reminder.

Streak

0

It was 267 days.

Momentum

91

Down 9 points. The progress you built stays.

Momentum shows how steady a habit is, from 0 to 100. Each day you complete raises it, and each missed day lowers it a little. Skipped and paused days don’t count. Complete a new daily habit every day for a week and it reaches 50. Miss one day after a long run and it drops about 9 points, so the progress you built stays.

  1. 9First check-in
  2. 507 days
  3. 7514 days
  4. 9530 days

A new every-day habit, done every day.

Mark a holiday or a sick week as skipped or paused, and momentum stays where it was. The morning after a miss, the number is simply lower: no red, no warning banner. Streaks, best streaks and completion rates are still there, and all of them are free.

What it fixes

Built around the problems people post about.

Each fix answers a complaint about to-do and habit apps that comes up often on Reddit.

  • One missed day wipes out a long streak.

Momentum dips a little instead. Skipped and paused days don’t count against it.

  • Habits and tasks sit on separate screens.

One Today screen for both, grouped into morning, afternoon, evening and anytime.

  • Reminders stay silent or never arrive.

Reminders are scheduled on your phone, and on Android a setup checklist shows which settings could silence them and opens each one.

  • The day flips at midnight while you’re still up.

Your day can end at any hour up to 04:00, and yesterday’s habits don’t pile up in today’s list.

  • Postponing one repeat moves the whole series.

Postpone or skip a single occurrence, undo the skip, and have checklists reset each time.

  • A tap you can’t take back.

Completed items stay in place until your day ends, and undo history keeps your last 100 actions from the past 7 days.

  • Rescheduling a task changes its deadline.

The deadline is kept apart from the day you plan to do it, so rescheduling never moves it.

  • Habit stats cost extra, and exports leave data out.

Momentum, streaks and habit stats are free and in the app, and so is a full export of everything.

  • Widgets that are blank, rigid or missing habits.

The same widgets on iPhone and Android: a free Today widget, and habit widgets with Premium.

Questions

Before you join

When does Evenpaced launch?

When it’s ready. There’s no date yet, and people on the waitlist hear first.

Which phones will it run on?

iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and Android phones. Tablets get the phone layout, and there’s no watch or desktop app. It launches in English.

Do I need an account?

No. The app works without signing up, and you can buy Premium without an account. Sync across phones and a web app come later, for Premium only, and will use an optional account.

Where does my data go?

On the free tier, your tasks and habits stay on your phone: Evenpaced sends none of their content to a server. Your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Android backup) includes them. The app sends crash reports and anonymous usage counts with no task or habit content, and you can turn the counts off in Settings.

What won’t it do?

The first version has no calendar or time blocking, no focus timer and no shared lists. It’s built for habits and a daily list.
